Banca Transilvania leads blue-chip gainers on Bucharest bourse, stock indices rise further

Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE: TLV] led the gainers among the blue chips on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Friday, bourse data showed, quoted by SeeNews.com.

The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 46.3 million lei ($11.1 million/ 10.2 million euro) from 34.4 million lei on Thursday.

Banca Transilvania was the top blue-chip gainer, climbing 2.41% to 2.7650 lei in the day’s second largest turnover of 8.31 million lei.

Blue-chip oil and gas group OMV Petrom  [BSE:SNP] fell 0.31% to 0.3205 lei in the day’s largest turnover of 12.3 million lei.

Romanian lender BRD Societe Generale [BSE:BRD] rose 1.57% to 12.9 lei in the day’s third largest turnover of 8.19 million lei. On Thursday, BRD said its consolidated net profit grew almost five-fold year-on-year, reaching 306.9 million lei in the first three months of 2017.
