Electrica Furnizare installed photovoltaic power plant for Eckerle Automotive

Electrica Furnizare was chosen by Eckerle Automotive to carry out the turnkey construction project of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 314.82 kWp and an average annual electricity production estimated at 339 MWh. The investment will help reduce CO2 emissions by more than 102 tonnes per year, according to TheDiplomat.ro.

The project started in Cluj-Napoca involved the installation of photovoltaic modules on the roof of the Eckerle Automotive factory.

“Eckerle Automotive, part of the Prettl group, has over 50 years of experience in the technology of brush holders for electric motors for windows, seats, windshield wipers used by all car brands. These systems are manufactured on fully automated production lines, lines also built by Eckerle Automotive. Eckerle Automotive has set its goal of “zero CO2 emissions” by 2025. Eckerle wants to contribute to ensuring a sustainable, environmentally friendly future. In this sense, we chose to take this step and implement the partnership with Electrica Furnizare, with which we have an excellent collaboration, ” said Andrei Trombitas, general manager of Eckerle Automotive Romania.
