Raiffeisen Centrobank to act as issuer market maker for Romania’s Banca Transilvania

Raiffeisen Centrobank will act as issuer market maker for Romanian lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV], the Bucharest Stock Exchange said on Tuesday. “We are happy to include the index heavyweight of the Bucharest Exchange Trading Index (BET), Banca Transilvania, in our client portfolio and to be part of the long-term success story of the company,” Raiffeisen Centrobank equities and derivatives trader for EMEA region Guenther Kornfellner said, as quoted in a press release by the bourse.

Raiffeisen Centrobank is also offering issuer market maker services for the Evergent Investment and Purcari Wineries shares on the Bucharest bourse, according to SeeNews.com.

Part of Raiffeisen International Group, Raiffeisen Centrobank operates as an investment bank which provides equities, derivatives, equity capital transactions, and structured products.

Banca Transilvania is the largest bank in Romania and one of the most liquid shares traded on Bucharest stock exchange. Its market capitalisation stands at 17.2 billion lei ($4.1 billon/ 3.7 billion euro). Banca Transilvania is also one of the five companies present in the FTSE Russell indices, together with Nuclearelectrica, OMV Petrom, TeraPlast and Bittnet.
