French car producer Renault, which owns Dacia, also scored the highest sales in France after 2011. On a market that grew by 5.1%, Renault recorded a growth of 6.6%, selling almost 408,000 cars, says Romania-Insider.com.
In total, over 2 million cars were sold in France last year. Renault saw a market share of 20.2% last year up 0.3% compared to the previous year. The Dacia brand recorded a share of 5.48% on the French car market.
Philippe Buros, Renault commercial director for France, said that the renewal of their range allowed them to grow, and that the company is expecting even better results for 2017.
