Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] led the gainers among the blue-chips on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Monday, bourse data showed.
The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 22.7 million lei ($5.7 million/4.9 million euro) from 12 million lei on Friday, says SeeNews.com.
Electrica was the top blue-chip gainer, climbing 3.06% to 14.16 lei in the day’s largest turnover of 10.7 million lei.
Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE: FP] rose 2.35% to 0.8520 lei the day’s second largest turnover of 4.22 million lei.
On Monday, Electrica signed a 752 million lei memorandum of understanding for the buyout of minority stakes in four of its subsidiaries from Fondul Proprietatea. FP holds 22% stakes in each of these subsidiaries: SDEE Distributie Muntenia Nord, SDEE Distributie Transilvania Sud, SDEE Distributie Transilvania Nord and Electrica Furnizare.
Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] fell 1.04% to 2.85 lei in the day’s third largest turnover of 3.23 million lei.
