The 11th edition of Electric Castle has come to an end after 5 memorable days that transformed the Bánffy domain in Bonțida into a place of good music and fun. With 289,000 attendees from 15 countries, this year’s edition marks an important step in the festival’s history, not only in terms of the record number of registered participants, but also in terms of the number of experiences on offer.
The final night of Electric Castle tested the audience’s dance stamina. After the Taraphonics’ baritone guitarists and Dirty Shirts’ mosh pit, it was straight into 90 minutes of non-stop dancing with Shaggy. The superstar made it his mission that no muscle in front of the stage was left unused, and he succeeded in spades. The bravest of the festival-goers reluctantly left the stage at 8:00 this morning. For them, the organizers and all festival fans, the countdown to Electric Castle 2026 now begins.
Behind this year’s edition are 2,000 people who, at various stages of the event’s implementation, have worked to make it happen. A team of several hundred remains on site to restore the Bánffy domain to its original form down to the last detail, including replanting the grass on a 15-hectare area. Others will return in the fall to continue the planting campaign in the campground area so that festival-goers will find it greener next year.
