Iulius Group purchases the majority shareholding in Carbochim Cluj

Iulius Group, through Carbo Europe SRL, recently completed the purchase process for the majority shareholding of abrasive materials manufacturer Carbochim Cluj-Napoca and launched a mandatory public bid. This is the fulfillment of the Iași-based real estate developer’s goal to diversify its portfolio, with a focus on the niche industrial production segment, according to Business-Review.eu.

 Iulius is the only Romanian developer and operator of mixed-use real estate projects, as well as one of the top players on the office market, with more than 20 years of real estate experience. The Iași-based company focused on expanding into other domains, more precisely into the production segment. The company is currently the majority shareholder in Carbochim, the largest manufacturer of professional abrasive products in Romania

The operation of Carbochim will be ensured by the same specialized team that has been involved in the development of the factory to this date. The production, retailing and distribution activity will not be affected and there will be no layoffs.
