Euroweb Romania revenues grow 20% in H1

Euroweb Romania, part of Turk Telekom International, reported revenues up 20 percent in H1 compared to the same period in 2016, exceeding its forecast for the period. The growth came in the context of a highly competitive market on a downward trend, the company said in a press release. The company said it strengthened its operations, upgrading its infrastructure and diversifying its portfolio of services, especially in the cloud service area. In 2016, Euroweb Romania registered a turnover of approximately EUR 8.5 million, achieving an increase of over 8 percent over 2015, according to TelecomPaper.com.

CEO Nazmi Calar Boluk told local media he believes the company will pass its 2017 target revenues of EUR 9 million until the end of the year.

Euroweb Romania said it strengthened its presence in the territory, currently having 27 points of presence and modernising the main network nodes. In Bucharest, Iasi, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca, network capacities increased from 1Gbps to 10Gbps.

Active network equipment was upgraded gradually using Juniper and Cisco routers. Euroweb Romania said it carries out strategic partnerships with Cisco and Bitdefender in the field of IT & C products.
