Everfest Magazine: Spooky Photos From EC Festival In A Transylvanian Castle

For a long time, Dracula has been the biggest “claim to fame” for Transylvania, the Romanian home of Bram Stoker’s blood-sucking villain… Hopefully, Electric Castle will change all that. Bánffy Castle, just outside Cluj-Napoca, Romania, dates back to the 1500s and in 2017, hosted headliners deadmau5, Nero, Maceo Plex, Duke Dumont, Sohn, Zedd, Alt-J, Franz Ferdinand and dozens more, says Everfest Magazine.

Despite Banffy Castle’s recent renovation after being placed on the World Monuments Watch List of 100 Most Endangered Sites, Romanian authorities have allowed the festival to take place on the preserved site since 2015, in attempts in to add industry to the area.

Fortunately, the only thing that anyone here has come to drink is beer, so you can leave those wooden stakes and garlic at home.
