Romanian employers posted over 20,000 new jobs since the beginning of the year, the number of applications reaching 1.2 millions whole the market gets close to the level prior the pandemic, according to data released by a recruiting site, quoted by ActMedia.eu.
“Romanian employers began the year in force and got out over 20,000 new jobs in the market in just three weeks, the number of jobs getting closer to the one recorded in January 2020. Most opportunities came from retail employers – over 4,300 jobs posted in January. Services was the second most active field, followed by IT/Telecom, call center/BPO, food industry, production and constructions,” an eJobs press release shows.
Over half of the new jobs are addressed to Bucharest and Ilfov candidates. The following towns are Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Ploiesti, Iasi and Constanta. Foreign employers continue to look for Romanian candidates, although their interest in the idea to leave the country continues to below.
“We see fields which were waiting for months on end and now they are recuperating such as HoReCa, which started looking for employees once Restaurants opened, although we are far enough from the 2020 level. Moreover, while last year we were talking about massive hiring only in a few industries, which grew on the background of crisis context, now we resumed hiring and the other sectors. Telecom and banking are just two examples in that respect. For 2021 we saw the lowest percentages allocated to the intention to leave for work abroad or to open businesses,” said Bogdan Badea, CEO eJobs Romania.
