Romanians are regional leaders regarding the persons who own more than one smartphone and use it for at least four hours daily, according to a new report, quoted by Business-Review.eu.
„Out of the 23 analyzed countries during the study, Romania, together with Bulgaria, showed the greatest potential of development on the mobile payments segment. Currently, only one Romanian out of 25 mentioned making payments from mobile, but the share of the ones who said that they would prefer using the smartphone for payments is significantly higher, 69 percent,” says the data of a study from IPSOS Research for Mastercard.
According to it, at the level of Central and Eastern Europe, the smartphone is the gadget with the greatest potential of replacing the card as preferred payment method, as 8 out of 10 regional consumers say that this is their preferred payment instrument after the card.
