Romania’s largest carrier and one of the fastest growing low-cost airlines in Europe, Wizz Air, has announced new service between London Gatwick and Cluj-Napoca, according to Kiwi.com.
The route between Romania’s second city and London’s second airport will kick off on 31 March and operate daily.
Cluj-Napoca will be the second route to Romania from Gatwick, joining the popular Bucharest service, connecting south London with some of the most vibrant cities in the central and eastern European region.
“In 2018, Wizz Air and Avram Iancu International Airport had a fruitful cooperation resulting in the addition of our seven aircraft and five new routes from Cluj-Napoca”, said head of communications at Wizz, Tamara Vallois.
“Our newest route offers low-cost travel to the second biggest airport of the capital, London Gatwick, providing great value at truly low fares.”
With the new route, Wizz now offers five destinations from Cluj-Napoca to the UK — the other four being Birmingham, Doncaster-Sheffield, Liverpool and London Luton.
