Banca Transilvania and Mastercard are launching the McLaren F1 Team Mastercard Debit (in RON) and McLaren F1 Team Mastercard Debit Gold (in EUR, premium) digital cards, issued by BT, the first cards in the world in partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team, according to Business Review.
According to a Mastercard study, 70% of cardholders want a card that rewards them for spending on their passions. The McLaren F1 Team Mastercard cards, issued by BT, are designed to connect cardholders with their passion every time they make a payment. Depending on the type of card, benefits include cashback offers linked to McLaren Formula 1 Team competitions, access to business lounges in Romania and Austria (Vienna) and on the priceless.com platform, shopping discounts etc.
The cards are debit cards, digital, issued and managed from the BT Pay app.
Thanks to its partnership with Mastercard, Banca Transilvania has become the Official Race Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team at the 2025 Lenovo Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, to be held in Budapest on August 2 and 3, 2025. The McLaren Formula 1 team, drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, will wear the BT and Mastercard logos on their helmets, steering wheels and MCL39 single-seaters.
