Aktor Romania made a decisive contribution to the creation of the longest continuous motorway section in Romania when it completed the works on Lot 3 of the A0 Bucharest South motorway, between Joița and Bragadiru, according to Business Review.
Almost 400 km of motorway now connect Curtea de Argeș with Constanța, since June 30, 2025, a new record for road infrastructure in Romania.
Previously, the longest continuous motorway section was, as of December 2023, formed by the A3 Tg Mureș-Turda, A10 Turda-Sebeș and A1 Sebeș-Holdea segments.
Now, however, with the entry into the road circuit of Lot 3, of almost 18 km, the times for covering long distances are decreasing, and the times for bypassing Bucharest from the south are also decreasing, by up to 30 minutes, compared to the route on the old ring road.

Route and localities served
- 18 km of complex engineering works. The ends of the lot are at DN6 (Bragadiru, Ilfov) and DJ601A (Joița/Bâcu, Giurgiu), with a major connection node to the A1 Motorway (Bucharest–Pitești) in the Ciorogârla area.
- Counties crossed: Ilfov and Giurgiu. The lot runs through the southwest area of the Bucharest metropolitan region, directly serving the localities of Bragadiru, Cornetu (DN6), Clinceni/Dârvari, Ciorogârla (A1) and Joița/Bâcu, ensuring fast connections for these communities.
- The longest of the 3 lots of the A0 Sud motorway
- Contracted: 2019
- Study and design: 1 year
- Construction: 2021 – 2025
- Beneficiary: CNAIR (National Road Infrastructure Management Company).
- Financing: European funds – Large Infrastructure Operational Program (POIM) 2014–2020 and Transport Program (2021–2027).
Road structures and facilities:
The lot includes the following structures:
- 4 bridges (e.g. over the Sabar River and over the Ciorogârla River)
- 6 overpasses (local roads that cross the A0) and 9 motorway crossings (the A0 crosses roads or railways)
- 46 footbridges for drainage and minor crossings
- Interchanges and service areas: 1 major junction at the intersection with the A1 (Ciorogârla); 2 short-term parking lots and 2 service areas on this lot (to be put up for auction by CNAIR).
