Dynamo Kyiv Signs Romanian Forward Vladislav Blănuță

The Ukrainian champion, Dinamo Kyiv, with an almost unchanged attack, announces the signing of a new forward. Vladyslav Blănuță, a 23-year-old Romanian striker, joined Dynamo Kyiv after Vladyslav Vanat left for Spain’s Girona. The new center-forward arrived at the Kyiv club from Universitatea Craiova 1948 and is ready to compete for a starting spot in the lineup, according to mezha.net.

The contract with Dynamo Kyiv runs for five years. According to official sources, Blănuță became a free agent and joined the team without paying a transfer fee. In the Kyiv squad he will compete for a place in the attack with Eduardo Herrera and Matviy Ponomarenko, who can also operate in the center-forward position. Previously, the club’s main striker was Vanat, who moved to Girona for about €17 million over five years.

The transfer of Blănuță from Universitatea Craiova is linked to his prior experience: since September 2020 he had been on loan to the Ukrainian club from Italian Pescara. In June 2023, the Kyiv club fully bought him for an estimated amount of around €250,000, with the condition of paying 20% of the profit from a future transfer and signing him to his first contract.

In the 2023/24 season, Vladislav Blănuță appeared in 31 matches for Universitatea Craiova, scoring eight goals. The next season he spent on loan at Universitatea Cluj, where he played 37 matches and scored 12 goals.

Vladislav Blănuță became Dynamo’s Kyiv fourth signing in the summer transfer window: first a contract was signed with Nigerian winger Shola Ogundana, then two defenders: Senegalese Aliu Tiaré and Vasyl Burtnyk from Nyva, a club in Ternopil. The new acquisitions are intended to strengthen the attacking line and provide competition for the center-forward position after Vanat’s departure.
