The Mercure Hotels & Resorts chain has opened its first hotel in Transylvania. The Mercure Alba Iulia has 118 rooms as well as modular meeting spaces, according to Eurobuild CEE.
The Mercure Hotels & Resorts chain has opened its first hotel in Transylvania. The Mercure Alba Iulia has 118 rooms as well as modular meeting spaces, according to Eurobuild CEE.
The hotel is in Alba Iulia on Dimitrie Cantemir Street, just minutes from the Alba Carolina Citadel. The hotel’s conference facilities can accommodate 500 people. The hotel also includes a spa and restaurant.
The Mercure brand has been operating since 1973 and is part of the Accor Group. It currently comprises over 1,000 hotels in 70 countries. The chain has 10 properties in Romania, with six more in the pipeline. Mercure Alba Iulia was developed by the Dentotal group, a long-time Accor partner in Romania with three hotels operating in the country and another in development.
