Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu will be at the Royal Castle of Săvârșin for Christmas and New Year. The celebrations will be attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia and Her Royal Highness Princess Maria.
The Christmas Fair hosted by the Royal Village, located at the entrance to the domain, will be open to the public on December 19, 20, 21 and 22, from 10.00 to 19.00. It will be possible to visit the Royal Automobile Museum, the Tea House, King Michael’s Car Workshop and the Souvenir Shop. The Royal Park is closed for the winter.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 17.00, the Crown Custodian and Prince Radu, Princess Sofia and Princess Maria will attend the opening of the Christmas Fair in the Royal Village. The Royal Christmas Concert will be offered by the ensemble “Voci Transilvane” of the “Dumitru Fărcaș” Students’ Culture House in Cluj-Napoca.
On Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11.30 a.m., the Royal Family will hand out Christmas gifts to saviors in need. At 12.00 noon, the Royal Family will give gifts to employees of the Royal Castle and the Forestry Office in Săvârșin. At 17.00 in the Royal Village there will be a concert by the Choir of the Archdiocese of Arad.
On December 21, 2024, at 12.30, students from Săvârșin will perform the show “The Joy of the Nativity in the Săvârșin’s Ieslea”, organized by Corina Barba. At 15.00, the “Cununa Craiului” ensemble from Cluj county will perform, followed by the “Crișana” ensemble from Oradea. The “Alaiul Dubelor” winter customs festival will take place at 16:30.
On Christmas Eve, on December 24, 2024, at 12.00, the Dubașii from Săvârșin will be waiting in the square with the fountain in the Royal Village.
