
Halep, the current world No. 2, pulled out of the World Group II first-round fixture against Canada due to an ankle injury that she suffered en route to a runner-up finish at the Australian Open recently.
She, therefore, took some time off the training camp to kick-start the proceeding between Romanian club U-BT Cluj and Keravnos of Cyprus in a FIBA Europe Cup match on Wednesday.
Much to Halep’s delight, the home team pulled off 77-71 win over the visitors.
“I have that ‘I’m not sure what to do with this ball but let’s go with it’ look!” she captioned a picture of herself holding the basketball.
