Romanians made over 234,500 real estate transactions in the first five months of the year

The number of real estate transactions recorded in Romania, in the first 5 months of the ongoing year, reached 234,525 sales, 37.6% less than in the same period of 2016 because the number of transactions no longer includes any change of property right. As of 2017, only sales-purchase transactions are taken into account, according to data sent by the National Agency of Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising (ANCPI), says ActMedia.eu.

Most real estate sales were registered in the first 5 months of 2017, in Bucharest (26,673), Cluj (15,646) and Ilfov (13,320). Counties with fewest houses sold in the same period are in Salaj (1,566), Gorj (,1812) and Caras-Severin (1,815).

Most houses sold in may were in Bucharest (6,946). The number of mortgages at national level, in the first 5 months of 2017, was 88,532. Most operations of this kind were registered in Bucharest (18,102), Ilfov (6,240) and Cluj (5,737).

At the opposite pole we find the counties of Covasna (448), Gorj (369) and Salaj (345). Counties with most farming lands sold are Timis (3,676), Dolj (3,102) and Arad (2,885).
