Ellinair this week began flights between Săruna (Thessaloniki, Salonic, SKG) and Cluj-Napoca (CLJ). Facing no direct competition, the airport pairing will be flown by the airline on its fleet of 96-seat Avro RJ85s. Cluj-Napoca becomes Ellinair’s second destination in Romania from Săruna after Bucharest. Overall this summer Ellinair is operating 74 weekly flights from Săruna to 35 destinations according to OAG schedules, with the leading route being the domestic connection to Athens which occupies 13% of the airline’s weekly seat capacity from Greece’s second city.
