Timisoara Airport records 9% increase in number of passengers

The Timisoara International Airport saw an increase of 9% in the number of passengers in the first five months of the year, reaching almost 377,000 people. The number of landings and takeoffs rose by 11% to 4,925, according to the company, according to Romania-Insider.com.

The passengers’ favorite destinations included Bucharest, Munich and London. They accounted for 18.4%, 17.4%, respectively 11.1% of all flights.

The freight traffic saw an increase of 63% during this period, from 947 tons in the first months of 2015 to 1,544 between January and May this year.
