Healthcare operator partners local investor for EUR 15 mln hospital in Cluj-Napoca

regina mariaPrivate healthcare operator Regina Maria and local investor Horia Ciorcila, the chairman of Banca Transilvania, will build a private hospital in Cluj-Napoca. The total investment is EUR 15 million, according to Regina Maria representatives.

The project will be built from scratch and will be due in the first half of the next year. It is the company’s largest investment outside of Bucharest, says Romania-Insider.com.

The hospital will cover some 7,000 sqm. It will provide a full range of medical specialties, focused on the minimally-invasive surgery. The hospital will also include a maternity, an imagistic center, a medical test laboratory, as well as an emergency room.

The new project will create 300 new jobs, said Fady Chreih, Regina Maria general manager. The operator expects the hospital to have some 10,000 patients in the first year.
