A new premiering location is coming soon to the Palas Iași complex. Crocs, one of the most popular footwear brands in the world, recognized for their iconic and comfortable models, will soon be opening in Palas their first store in the North-East region and fifth one in Romania. The mixed-use complex in downtown Iași is entering a new remodeling phase, based on a concept developed by the world-acclaimed architecture studio Foster + Partners, according to Business Review.
Palas will expand its retail space up to 80,000 sqm, featuring new first-to-region brands, the latest and most modern flagship store formats for its existing anchor stores, a new sports area, play areas and family entertainment centers, as well as an expansion of the park, with interactive areas and spaces designed for relaxation. The brand will also be present in the RIVUS mixed-use reconversion project currently under development in Cluj-Napoca.
Crocs’ location in Palas will be accommodated in the new area dedicated to sportswear and streetwear stores, which will assemble some of the most relevant retailers in this segment. The new location will feature a bright and inviting architectural design, where clients will be able to find everything from the classic Crocs clogs to the trendiest models. The store will also include a dedicated area for the notorious Jibbitz™ accessories, allowing clients to customize their Crocs footwear to match their own style.

The new phase entails the following: increasing the total leasable retail premises up to 80,000 sqm by optimizing the existing premises and fitting out new areas dedicated to shopping; remodeling the Palas Garden with interactive areas for children, waterfalls, new promenade routes; a new events center with a panoramic view toward the Palace of Culture and transforming the frontal esplanade of Luceafărul Theater into a public agora, with more vegetation, welcoming terraces, outdoor amphitheater, and venues that are specially designed for families.
