Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, Cluj County Council and the airline Turkish Airlines announce the increase in the frequency of direct flights to Istanbul starting in May, according to Airport Cluj.
Turkish Airlines has been offering direct flights to Istanbul from Cluj International Airport since 2016. The increased frequency increases the number of flights from 7 to 9 per week, by adding two new additional flights, operated on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings, to the flights that are currently operated daily. According to the flight schedule promoted by the airline, this increase will facilitate passenger connectivity to the over 300 destinations in the Turkish Airlines global network available from the Istanbul air hub.
Mr David Ciceo, General Manager of Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, added: “We are pleased that, starting in May, passengers will be able to benefit from even more connection possibilities offered by one of the largest international aviation hubs. We are convinced that the airline’s decision to increase the number of frequencies from 7 to 9 on this route will be appreciated by both the business environment and other passengers of Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, whether we are talking about the diversity of connections offered through these flights, or the option for a city break”.
