Wizz Air has announced the launch of a new summer route from Cluj-Napoca to Heraklion, Greece, starting on June 17, 2025. The route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering affordable tickets starting at EUR 24.99. Tickets are available for purchase now through the airline’s website and mobile app, according to Travel Wires.
Heraklion, the vibrant capital of Crete, is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, including the ancient Knossos Palace—an archaeological gem that offers insight into the Minoan civilization. This new route will replace the existing Cluj-Napoca to Chania connection, offering travelers convenient access to the capital and the rest of Crete. With this addition, Wizz Air now offers 37 destinations in 14 countries from Cluj-Napoca, enhancing travel options for passengers and contributing to regional economic growth.
