The Transylvania Open is a world-class tennis tournament held annually in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The tournament began with the qualifying stage, where players fought to secure their place in the main draw. Among the Romanian players participating in the qualifiers was Anca Todoni, who was eliminated in the second round by Daria Snigur.
A highlight was Simona Halep’s participation, as she played on the central court in front of an enthusiastic audience. The tournament also introduced a new electronic arbitration system, FOXTENN, which allows players to challenge the referee’s decisions through Electronic Line-Calling.
