Fabrica de Lapte Brașov, the company behind the Olympus brand and one of the largest dairy producers in Romania, announces the inauguration of a new logistics center in Hălchiu, Brașov County. This project, backed by an investment exceeding 40 million euros, covers a total area of 13,500 square meters and is designed to optimize logistics processes, according to The Diplomat.
The new center houses one of Romania’s largest high-bay cold storage facilities, designed to reduce energy consumption significantly. The high-bay warehouse has a capacity of over 32,000 pallets and is equipped with the most advanced temperature control systems (2-4°C). It is fully automated, which helps optimize resource usage and reduce the carbon footprint of the entire logistics process.

The new logistics center allows us to strengthen our position in international markets while ensuring that our products are stored and delivered in an efficient and eco-friendly manner. The new logistics center in Brașov will serve both the local market and all the countries where Olympus dairy products made in Romania are exported, including Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Bulgaria and Serbia.
By the end of 2024, the new logistics hub will be fully operational and integrated with the nearby dairy factory, further strengthening the group’s position as a leader in the food industry and a pioneer of sustainable development. This new facility is part of Hellenic Dairies Group’s commitment to develop a sustainable business in all the countries where the company in present.
