Lille and Hoffenheim are monitoring a football player from the Superliga

Lille and Hoffenheim, teams from two of the strongest championships in Europe, are monitoring a player from the Superliga who has been called up for EURO 2024, according to Spot Media.

The player in question is Daniel Bîrligea (24 years old), the forward for CFR Cluj, a footballer who made it into the final squad called up by Edi Iordănescu for EURO 2024.

According to ProSport, scouts from Hoffenheim and Lille noticed Daniel Bîrligea after his excellent season at CFR Cluj and have already contacted the club owned by Neluțu Varga for discussions.

Before deciding whether to make an official offer or not, representatives from Lille and Hoffenheim want to get to know Daniel Bîrligea, so they are planning to come to Cluj-Napoca to gather as much information as possible about the forward.

The source mentioned states that Nelu Varga will ask the clubs from Germany and France for no less than six million euros. Since January 2022, Daniel Bîrligea has played 90 matches, scored 25 goals, and provided eight assists for “the railwaymen” at CFR Cluj.

He is valued at 1.6 million euros by Transfermarkt.
