Primark, the international fashion retailer, has announced plans to open its fourth store in Romania, in VIVO! Shopping Centre, Cluj-Napoca. The store will be Primark’s first location in the northwest region of the country and is expected to open in 2025, according to Business Review.
The new store will occupy a total of 3,700 square metres of retail space across two floors, offering fashion, essentials and accessories across womenswear, menswear and kids wear, as well as beauty and homeware. The store will also sell products under the growing Primark Cares brand. Already, 55% of Primark’s clothing is made using recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, and the retailer has committed to making this 100% by 2030.
Recruitment has just begun for the new store and job opportunities can be found on the Primark Careers website, beginning with management positions. Further roles will go live later this summer, with opportunities including visual merchandisers and people and culture (HR) positions. A role in Primark is an opportunity to build a lifelong career in retail and the brand offers extensive in-house training programmes, as well as learning and development opportunities across all levels.
Maciej Podwojski, Head of CEE, Primark said: “It’s an exciting day as we announce our fourth store in Romania, which will open in Cluj-Napoca next year. We are proud of our continued growth in Romania as well as Central and Eastern Europe, where we will have 17 stores across six markets in CEE by the end of 2025. Cluj-Napoca is a vibrant city, and I am sure that our unique shopping experiences we offer to our customers will be appreciated by the residents of the city and the surrounding area”.
