Dan Petrescu is preparing the first transfers to CFR Cluj. The coach who wrote history in Gruia is ready to fight for the title again, after CFR Cluj was overtaken by Farul Constanța and FCSB in the last two seasons, says Kosova Press.
To achieve his goal next season, the title and access to the UEFA Conference League groups, Dan Petrescu will have to rebuild his squad and is already preparing the first moves.
After it was rumored that the first target would be Aurelian Chițu (33 years old) from FCU Craiova, Petrescu has now turned his attention to the champion of Kosovo, the Balkans, according to KosovaPress.
Right defender Armend Thaqi (31 years old) and central defender Lumbardh Dellova (25 years old) are the targets of Dan Petrescu for the next period of the market, reports the Romanian medium “Sport”.
At CFR Cluj, Dan Petrescu added four championship titles to his CV: 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/2020 and 2021/22. In the last season, August 2021 – June 2023, he made 103 appearances on the bench and averaged 1.81 points per game, according to statistics provided by the specialist website Transfermarkt.
CFR Cluj is in second place in the Romanian Super League, with 43 points after the victory with FCSB in the last stage (1-0), and with significant chances to grab a place in the European cups.
