The draw for the 2023-24 EuroCup season has been made, and the champions Gran Canaria will play in Group B alongside the runners-up Turk Telekom, according to BasketNews.com.
The first step towards the 2023-24 EuroCup has been taken after a Draw ceremony that divided 20 teams into two groups.
The fans will see the last season’s final rematch as Dreamland Gran Canaria will face Turk Telekom Ankara in Group B.
Group B will also have such teams as Ratiopharm Ulm, Aris Thessaloniki, Buducnost Podgorica, U-BT Cluj and others.
Meanwhile, Group A will have Hapoel Tel Aviv, Joventut Badalona, Paris Basketball, Besiktas Istanbul, and others.
In each group, all opponents will play in a round-robin, home-and-away format for a total of 18 games starting from October 3, 2023, to February 7, 2024.
In what is a new-look postseason for 2023-24, the top two teams in each regular season group will skip to the quarterfinals while 2nd-6th place teams play do-or-die single games in the Round of 16 against opponents from opposite groups.
The Round of 16 winners will visit the top four teams from the regular season in one-game quarterfinal showdowns.
The ensuing semifinal and final phases have been expanded to the best-of-three series. All post-season pairings will give home-court advantage to the teams that finished higher in their regular season groups.
