Prometey Slobozhanske is on the rise right now. The Ukrainian club has won their fourth game in a row in the EuroCup competition and is now 3rd in group A, having 7 wins out of 11 games, according to BasketNews.com.
Prometey has won against U-BT Cluj-Napoca (105:82) and Umana Reyer Venice (75:71) in December, as well as against 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys (80:72) and Germani Brescia (79:72) in January.
Gian Clavell leads the Slobozhanske team with an average of 16.4 points, while D.J. Stephens is unbeatable in rebounds, grabbing 7 balls per game. David Kennedy has the best ranking for assists (4.1 avg.).
“We are in a good moment now,” shared Prometey head coach Ronen Ginzburg. “Of course, I do not expect this to last forever and win every game. However, I am extremely pleased with the recent team performance and the momentum we have right now. We started to defend better than before, and injured players returned to the lineup, which automatically relieved the situation.”
“Finally, the atmosphere in the team is electric. Ondrej Balvin and D.J. Kennedy struggled a bit at the beginning of the season and have looked better and better in the last 5-6 games. Everything is coming together, and we are now well on our way. You need to learn how to deal with all kind of challenges that comes your way, that is the game,” Ginzburg continued.
