Emmanuel Yeboah’s Slavia Prague move falls through

Czech Republic giants Slavia Prague’s move for Emmanuel Yeboah has fallen through after CFR Cluj failed to reach an agreement, according to KickGh.com.

Yeboah completed a permanent transfer to Cluj from Sunyani-based Division One League side Young Apostles last winter, signing a long-term contract with the Railwaymen.

Slavia Prague were leading the race for the Ghanaian winger, but the two clubs involved failed to reach an agreement, the move has fallen through and the player is set to stay in Cluj-Napoca.

CFR Cluj has, however, issued an official statement about Yeboah’s transfer and has rubbished claims by Slavia Prague that it could not sign the player because he has a meniscus issue – which was reportedly found during his medical.

“In the last few days, our club has negotiated the transfer of Emmanuel Yeboah to Slavia Prague. This move will not materialize, and the footballer will continue in Gruia,” CFR Cluj said in the statement.

“In conclusion, we want to mention that regardless of the outcome of these negotiations, we still respect the Slavia Prague club and appreciate the interest the Czechs have shown in our player.”
