Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said that it has increased the frequency of flights on routes from Cluj-Napoca, in northwestern Romania, to Brussels in Belgium, Milan in Italy and Paris in France, according to SeeNews.com.
The Cluj-Napoca – Brussels route is now serviced by seven flights weekly, eleven flights are operated on the Cluj-Napoca – Milan route and nine on the Cluj-Napoca – Paris route per week, Wizz Air said in a press release.
Earlier this month, the airline announced that it had opened a base in the Romanian northeastern city of Suceava, its eighth in the country.
Wizz Air is present in Romania since 2006 and currently offers over 180 domestic and international routes from eleven airports in the country. The company operates a fleet of 145 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft internationally. The carrier has bases in Bucharest, Bacau, Cluj-Napoca. Craiova, Iasi, Sibiu, Timisoara and Suceava.
