Irish-based consulting and processing services provider Accenture has opened a new headquarters in Cluj, northwestern Romania, following a $1.5 million (1.45 million euro) investment. The new headquarters, located in the Hexagon Offices building, has an area of 2,000 sq m spread over two floors, Accenture said in a press release.
Employees at the new office are part of the Industry X service, responsible for developing industrial software in areas such as railways, automotive and manufacturing. The Industry X service employs around 900 people in Romania – in Timisoara, Targu-Mures and Cluj, according to Business-Review.eu.
Accenture is an Irish-domiciled multinational company that provides consulting and processing services. It employs over 699,000 in more than 120 countries.
The corporation established its first centre of operations in Romania in 2016. Currently it employs over 4,000 in Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Tirgu-Mures, Iasi, and Brasov.
