SelfPay borrows 3 mln euro from Banca Transilvania

Romanian automated payment solutions provider SelfPay said on Tuesday it has contracted a 3 million euro ($3.3 million) loan from local lender Banca Transilvania. SepfPay will use the funds to buy new payment terminals, it said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, quoted by SeeNews.com.

The loan must be paid back by March 2026.

In July, SelfPay listed a 3 million euro bond issue on the multilateral trading system of the BVB and said it plans to expand in several European countries in 2022.

Established as ZebraPay in 2009, SelfPay operates over 7,000 payment stations in over 1,000 locations across the country.
