Almost 1.9 million applicants for jobs were recorded in the first three months of this year on the platform BestJobs.eu, by approximately 24% more than during the period January –March 2020, announced the company, which said that the total number of available workplaces since the beginning of the year was 66,000, according to ActMedia.eu.
As regards the counties with most active applicants in March, the top continues to be led by București-Ilfov (over 270,000 applicants), Timiș (over 60,000 applicants), Cluj-Napoca and Brașov (over 37,000 applicants each) and Iași (over 33,000 applicants). The jobs with remote work continue to record a high number of applicants, and the offer for such jobs is constant – on average, 10% of the total of available jobs since the beginning of the year were remote.
As a total, in March the applicants who had most applications were aged between 25-34 (38%) followed by those close to 35 and 44 (20%) and those aged between 45 – 54 (16%).
On the other hand, the companies wanted to employ in March mostly white collar personnel (employees who work in the office). From the total of work activated in March, almost half (49.8%) were white collar, 22% jobs in the category blue collar ( employees who work in industry, factories, agriculture, manufacture) while 18% were jobs for management and team coordination positions and a little over 10% were remote (employees who work from home).
