Romanian stock indices recovered ground on Wednesday, as lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] paced blue-chip gainers, data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, indicated, according to SeeNews.com.
The total equity turnover of the BVB amounted to some 37.9 million lei ($9.4 million/ 7.8 million euro) on Wednesday, compared to 18.35 million lei on Tuesday, BVB’s website showed.
Blue-chip bank BRD Societe Generale [BSE:BRD] rose 0.40% to 14.9 lei in the largest trading turnover during the session, of 10.4 million lei.
Banca Transilvania led blue-chip gainers on Wednesday, as its price jumped 2.53% to 2.23 lei in the day’s second largest turnover of 2.61 million lei.
Financial group Erste Bank AG [BSE:EBS] gained 3.15% to 124.3 lei in the day’s third largest turnover of 2.22 million lei.
