Romania’s RCS&RDS (Digi) has announced a restructuring of its media assets, with the main focus being on TV, says BroadbandTVNews.com.
In a statement, it says that it will extend its network of local correspondents in the country and at the same time consolidate the central office of Digi24.
It adds that in recent year the media market and consumers’ viewing behaviour has changed considerably, with some of the public migrating to online or multi-platform content.
As a result, Digi will increase its network of correspondents from 12 to 18 teams.
It will also integrate its regional operations into Bucharest, cancelling the audiovisual licences and closing its eight Digi 24 studios in Brasov, Constanta, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Galati, Iasi, Oradea and Timisoara.
