GTS Telecom to invest EUR 310,000 for the expansion of Cluj-Napoca data center

GTS Telecom, one of the most important infrastructure-based telecommunications services providers in Romania, allocates new investments worth EUR 310,000 for the expansion of the Cluj-Napoca data center, according to Business-Review.eu.

The company announces a new series of investments in the development of the data center in Cluj Napoca, almost two years after its inauguration, by doubling its collocation footprint, thus reaching a total area of 210 square meters. The investment in this second GTS Telecom data center in Romania exceeds the amount of EUR 1 million.

“The current occupancy and our customers’ requests for services delivered to the Cluj Napoca data center have led us to focus on developing and expanding it. With its inauguration in 2016, two of the most important challenges for us were to equip it to the highest standards, and to provide high-quality telecommunication services with which our customers are already accustomed. That’s why we’ve decided to expand the fingerprint capability that will allow companies to create their Disaster Recovery Center in their facility,” said Razvan Stoica, General Manager of GTS Telecom.

The GTS Telecom data center in Cluj-Napoca, located in the Liberty Technology Park complex, now has a total floor area of 140 square meters, equipped with 60 racks, and the generating system provides a redundant N + 1 solution.
