Apple Inc will screen in a TV series the “Foundation” trilogy by Isaac Asimov, about the crash and renascence of a galactic empire, said this Tuesday a spokesperson of the company, quoted by Reuters.
It is not known yet where will be broadcasted the Apple series. The company didn’t mention if it would broadcast them via iTunes Store, where it sells films and sitcoms to other companies, or on another platform, says Business-Review.eu.
The assigned to screen the novels are David S. Goyer, the screen writers of the blockbusters “The Dark Night” and “Batman Begins”, and Josh Friedman, who wrote the SF screen play for cinema by Steven Spielberg, “War of the Worlds” (2005).
According to Reuters, the Hollywood attempts of the last two decades to screen the “Foundation” series for TV or cinema failed.
