The construction works increased by 3.6 percent in EU in July and by 3.4 percent in the Euro area, compared with the same period of 2016, according to the data published this Tuesday by the European Statistics Office (Eurostat), says Business-Review.eu.
Among the member states which registered the highest increases in construction works there were Hungary (22.6 percent), Sweden (21.2 percent), Poland (19.8 percent) and Slovakia (14.7 percent), the only decreases being registered in UK (-1.1 percent) and in Italy (-0.4 percent).
Romania registered in July an annual increase by 1.7 percent in constructions works, after a decline of 6.1 percent in June.
In July 2016, compared with June, the construction works registered an increase by 0.2 percent in Euro zone and by 0.5 percent in EU.
