Romanian city to add sensors for parking places, public transport

clujA city in Central Romania continues to implement measures aimed at turning it into a smart city. Local authorities in Cluj-Napoca plan to install sensors in the road, in the parking places located in the city center, that would show if the parking place is free or whether another car is parked there. Drivers would be able to see this information via an app available for computers or mobile phones, according to Romania-Insider.com.

“We have over 3,600 such parking places in zones I and II. We will also install such sensors in the public transport stations. They will indicate whether there is a means of transport or another vehicle in the station,” Cluj-Napoca mayor Emil Boc announced in a Facebook post.
