Former PM Ciolos meets Prince Charles, talks include ways to support Romanian farmers

ciolosRomania’s former Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos met with Prince Charles at his residence in Highgrove, UK, on Monday. The two talked about how they can jointly support the Romanian farmers and preserve the Romanian patrimony, Dacian Ciolos announced on his Facebook page, according to

“I have talked to Prince Charles and Aura Woodward, the Prince of Whales Foundation director, about the concrete collaboration with Romania 100 Platform for supporting the distribution of Romanian natural products, and a possible program on for the enhancement of medieval fortresses in Transylvania to help create jobs for locals,” reads Dacian Ciolos’ Facebook post.

Ciolos officially launched his Romania 100 Platform earlier this month when he also launched an invitation to all those interested in joining the organization. The platform is presented as “an open, active citizenship movement aimed at transforming the Romanian civic and political environment and achieving Romania’s real development potential.”

Prince Charles, who is a big fan of Romania’s Transylvania, made an official visit to Romania at the end of March. He met with President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu, and the Romanian Royal Family, and visited the Village Museum and the Vacaresti Nature Park, among other things.
