Prince Charles of Wales painted by a Romanian artist. Now working on a portrait of the Queen

dimensiune portretThe Romanian painter Laszlo Valovits made a monumental portrait, oil painted, of HRH Prince Charles of Wales. The portrait was exhibited at the Museum of Art in Cluj-Napoca, the capital of Transylvania.

The picture is a meter and 80 cm high and one meter and 35 centimeters wide, without the frames.

“This portrait depicts also the personality of His Royal Highness. It was made after various photographs of HRH. They should be studied, to be sought synthesis. I would like to invite HRH to Cluj to see for himself the portrait and make his own opinion on it”, said the painter.

Laszlo Valotivts said that now he is painting the portret of the Queen Elizabeth II, which he intends to finush by June, the anniversary of the coronation of the Queen.

portret charlesThe same artist has painted, over time, monumental portraits of His Majesty King Michael I of Romania (unveiled at the Elisabeta Palace) and portraits of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, unveiled in Cluj, at the National Theater, in 2016, celebrating 20 years of marriage. These portraits are the same large size.
