Furniture exports increased by 9.7% in the first six months of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching over EUR 1.1 billion, according to the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers’ Association (APMR), quoted by Romania-Insider.com.

In the first six months of this year, the furniture exports represented 56.4% of the total timber products exported, compared to raw timber exports, which had a share of 13.3%.
By comparison, the exports of raw timber amounted to 16.5% in 2015. This “represents a good thing for Romania”, as more products with a value added are exported, said Aurica Sereny, APMR president.
