The authorities of Cluj Arena Stadium, where the Spain-Romania friendly will be held next Sunday, are asking fans to go to the stadium two hours before the start due to the security measures taken after Tuesday’s Brussels terrorist attacks, says bignewsnetwork.com.
Radu Ratiu, director of Cluj Arena, said that it is very important for all fans to come 90 minutes or even two hours before the match, since security controls will take a long time and fans will therefore avoid queues, reports Efe.
Ratiu explained that all possible security measures will be taken after the Belgium attacks, which left over 30 dead and at least 200 wounded.
For his part, Romanian Football Federation president Razvan Burleanu said these procedures are simply preventive as all national authorities should be working to protect fans in stadiums and on the streets in terms of the current international situation.
